The town is located on the banks of the Severn River and is described: a quaint village of old architecture and friendly residents. There seems to be very few young people as they have moved away to more urban areas for education and employment. The town is past its prime and many building stand empty. It has little business to support itself and most who live here commute to Brichester or Berkeley. A modest ferry service connects the town with Old Severnford on the other side of the Severn. The center of town has a pub, an inn, a few eateries as well as a main square which contains the city hall, fire and police halls. There is a library as well, but the grimy institute has little interest or aid. There are, however, a few interesting areas.
